Oris ProPilot X Kermit Edition

Our partner Oris, in collaboration with Disney’s “The Muppets”, has unveiled the official watch of “Kermit the Frog”, at the ‘Watches and Wonders’ trade show in Geneva.

This special edition of the 39mm titanium ‘ProPilot X Calibre 400’ has a green dial inspired by Kermit the Frog. On the first of the month, Kermit appears in the date window – “Kermit Day”, a day to make a little time for yourself. “Kermit Day” is all about not taking life too seriously. Having some fun.

Oris’ creative director Ken Laurent said about the inspiration of this special edition: “We talk a lot about functions in a literal sense, but really, the purpose of an Oris watch is to make people smile. That’s it. And with the ProPilot X Kermit Edition, there’s nothing else to it. Ok, yes, it’s powered by a brilliant movement and the case design is spectacular, but the function of this watch is really simple: to bring joy”. He went to Hollywood to meet Kermit the Frog and to make a short film together. Kermit composed and sang ‘Gotta Make Time For Me’, a catchy tune about finding even just a brief moment in the day for yourself.
